Where can we find hope?
The answer is….Looking to Jesus and Looking to God’s Word for guaranteed hope. In a moment, we will hear about God’s promise of giving us His direction. Stay tuned.
Intro Music
In Proverbs 3:5-6, God promises to give His children direction. What an amazing truth for us to remember. Let’s memorize Proverbs 3:5-6 together by singing this verse to God in worship. Before we do this, let me pray:
Lord, please remind us of Your Word and please give us power in the Holy Spirit to do Your Word for Your glory. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Here is Proverbs 3:5-6:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart**
And lean not on your own understanding
Acknowledge Him in all your ways
And He shall direct your paths.
(sing 3x and reference at the end of 3rd time)
Dear Lord, You know we need direction. We are often lost so thank You for Your promise to direct our paths as we trust You with all our heart.
Instead of leaning on our own understanding, cause us Lord to remember to acknowledge You in prayer in every circumstance with thanksgiving.
And You Lord will faithfully give us direction. We praise You Lord Jesus.
In Ephesians 5:19, God says we are to sing and make melody in our heart to the Lord. So why don’t we make it our goal to daily sing to God our very own Gospel song along with other Biblical truths. In this way, our hearts will be filled with joy and thanksgiving, and we also will be more than ready to share with others the HOPE that is in us ….the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now there may be someone listening who is hurting and not sure about trusting God. Dear Friend, God alone is trustworthy. He knows and loves you dearly. God lovingly offers us rescue. He can rescue us not only from hell but from this self-focused life we are all born with strong desires that never satisfy or bring lasting peace. God delivers those who turn away from their rebellious self-ruled life and put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He died taking the judgment we deserve and then rose from the grave. His death allows us to be forgiven. I hope you won’t reject God’s love. Turn to Jesus today for a new life.
