Let Stumbling Drive You to Him

Let stumbling drive you to Him… Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

1. First thing you must do with stumbling (sin) is to go with it to our Savior the Lord Jesus. Tell it to Him. (Psalm 38:18, Psalm 51:1-17, 1 John 2:1)

2. Confess this stumbling, fully own it, repent, and receive forgiveness. (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:8-9)

3. Fully commit your life and your weakness to Jesus, and trust Him to keep you from stumbling. (Luke 9:23-24, John 10:27-30, Philippians 1:6)

4. Remind yourself of this truth by continually singing the song: “To Him, that is mighty to keep you, be the glory.” (Jude 1:24-25)

5. Let that stumbling make you prudent, on guard, very cautious, and careful. (Proverbs 28:14, Philippians 2:12, 1 Peter 1:17-19)

a. By resting in the faithfulness of the Lord Jesus, you will overcome. (1 Corinthians 10:12-13, 2 Peter 2:9-10, John 15:1-4)

b. In the power of your Keeper and the joy and security of His help, you will have the courage to be on high alert in taking thoughts captive and making them obedient to Christ. (Psalm 119:11, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

c. Look to His love which has chosen you, and wait for the fulfillment of His word..” You shall never stumble.” (Read 2 Peter 1:1-11)
